Floe Lake Morning
The mountains that rise almost straight up from Floe Lake in Kootenay National Park are east facing, making morning the best time to be a spectator of spectacular light. The other bonus of being there early on is that the lake is at it's calmest, making for the best reflections and view of the intricate rock patterns below the water surface.
I took this image just as morning light was starting to hit the water surface. Seconds after, a slight breeze came up that created ripples in the water, altering the perfect reflection. > Order This Print
